Glenfalloch Woodland Garden where nature reigns supreme
430 Portobello Road, Dunedin

Glenfalloch Woodland Garden, Gaelic for 'hidden valley' is an historical garden, established from 1871 - tranquil, beautiful, much loved and classified as a Garden of National Significance by the NZ Gardens Trust.

Enjoy the peace and tranquillity and the panoramic harbour views; listen to the ripple of Russell Creek and the harmony of a native birdlife symphony. Walk among the rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias, fuchsias and a profusion of other flower species which integrate with native ferns, exotic imports and indigenous New Zealand trees. Meet a 1000 year old Matai Tree and admire our stunning autumn colours.

Located on the Otago Peninsula, Glenfalloch Woodland Garden is only a 15 minute scenic drive from Dunedin City. Glenfalloch enjoys a microclimate that extends the seasons and nurtures growth. Take time to enjoy the garden and visit our artists in residence.

Children Bouncing Off Your Walls? Award Winning Trampoline!

Let them come and expend some of that extra energy at Glenfalloch Gardens. Springfree NZ have loaned us a trampoline which we have situated at the bottom of the Homestead Lawn.

Parents can come and enjoy a relaxing break, wander in the gardens, enjoy some shopping from our resident artists and have a quiet wine at the café while their children have a bouncing good time!

The Springfree trampoline won the top award in U.S.A. when the clever Kiwi take on the traditional trampoline was voted the top “Children's product of the year” in the states by 100,000 American families.

Springfree Trampoline is the brainchild of Christchurch engineering associate professor Keith Alexander who came up with the idea in 1988 after his wife said no to metal-framed rampolines.
